Ever since the hoax in March, things have slowed down a bit, which is understandable. It kind of killed the momentum for a while. But at the same time, it brought a lot of new attention to the search, so in a weird way it actually helped.
Lately I’ve been noticing that “what now?” kind of energy, like people aren’t too sure where we stand or what direction to take. So I just wanted to highlight some really solid work happening over on the subreddit, r/lolsupermanofficial.
One of our members, u/DearStrike4940, has been putting together some really in-depth posts about the Heaven666 lead, and honestly it’s not as dead as people might think. The DVDripper situation definitely soured things last month, but that doesn’t mean we should just throw everything out.
A few key points from their research:
• J18speed was an active user on Heaven666 back in 2007 to 2009, and says he remembers posting a video that lines up with the LSM description. It may have been pulled from YouTube using KeepVid.
• Other long-time users also remember the video and J18speed being involved, which helps back that up.
• There are leads about a 3-hour compilation called “HEAVEN’S HELL ON EARTH” by a user named Cigarmann. Supposedly it included a bunch of high-quality clips, possibly including the jumper footage.
• Even before the recent hoaxes, people were already pointing to Heaven666 as far back as 2022 when talking about a short, silent plaza clip around 12 seconds long.
So… is LOL SUPERMAN actually real, or are we chasing something that never existed?
That’s the big question.
On the Lost 9/11 Media Wiki, which I run with some of the team, we’ve got it listed as “Lost / Unverified” for now. There are a few different possibilities people are considering:
• It could be misremembering, where different real clips like Rosbrook footage have kind of blended together over time into one “perfect” video.
• It might have been real but got wiped during the big YouTube and shock site purges in the late 2000s. If it was reuploaded and renamed a bunch of times, it would be really hard to track now.
• There’s also a chance it exists in restricted archives like FOIA material or FBI evidence that hasn’t been released.
On the wiki we’re trying to stay grounded and focus on what can actually be verified, separating solid evidence from speculation. The goal is to preserve what’s real and not let things get lost over time.
