Recently, I’ve been using Reddit search tools to locate lost 9/11 media testimonies predating search efforts, which brought me to two obscure comments originating from r/AskReddit in the years 2018 and 2019. These comments, which appear to have been posted by the same user, recalled a video with a description that aligns remarkably well with the account from the original 4chan anonymous user who started this whole search.
The 2018 comment:
There is some 9/11 footage that i watched as a very young teen on very early YouTube. It was uploaded by an obvious edgy troll channel with titles like “SUPERMAN SAVES THE DAY XD” with a very close up video of someone falling from the twin towers into a car. Interesting thing was all the videos were from such a close angle, showing all kinds of carnage from directly at the base of the towers. I’ve never been able to find any footage remotely similar to the one i’ve seen, i’ve asked around some forums and a couple of people have confirmed they’ve allegedly seen them too.
I think the footage was taken from an area that wasn’t accessible to the public during the attacks if that gives a clearer picture. I think by now it’s been scrubbed from the internet, but i’d like to see them again just to confirm what i saw
Early internet was a wild west
The 2019 comment:
There was a channel on YouTube wayyyy back in the wild west days that uploaded very rare 9/11 footage that I haven’t been able to find since. Pretty sure they’ve been scrubbed from the internet. The channel was extremely crude and disrespectful considering the nature of the clips, titles like “superman rare sighting” depicting a close up of someone falling to the ground and pretty much exploding on impact. edgy shit like that. It was only up for a few days before being terminated. There were real close-ups of the people jumping from the WTC hitting parked cars and the ground, meters away from the cameraman in some cases. It showed all of the chaos on the ground with firemen and law enforcement scrambling around trying to figure out what to do, near the base of the towers. From what I understand, civilians and journalists weren’t allowed access near the base of the burning towers so I am not sure where the footage came from or who could have possibly captured it.
I’ve asked around on message boards, people seem to acknowledge it’s existence and know what I’m talking about but it’s impossible to locate now. I’m guessing it might exist on the darkweb somewhere but I couldn’t tell you much more than that. I was a teen when I saw those videos and didn’t realise what I was looking at and the significance of it until much later.
This was at the same time as those Asian ‘baby soup’ videos and all that weird shit. Old YouTube was wild man
This could mean one of two things: 1) this Reddit user just so happened to be aware of an obscure 4chan thread from years prior, or 2) this user was indeed the original 4chan anonymous user from 2015. I was more inclined to believe the second possibility, as it seems unlikely that this particular user was aware of a somewhat-unpopular thread posted several years prior.
I am intentionally leaving certain pieces of information out to avoid the possibility of this user being backtracked and harassed. To summarize, even though the Reddit account had been deleted, I managed to find the username associated with the comments. Using the same Reddit search tools I mentioned earlier, I fetched dozens of posts and hundreds of comments associated with the username. This will be an important detail in a second.
A few months ago, a user direct messaged me on Reddit claiming to be the original 4chan anonymous user. They went on to talk about how they may have been misremembering the infamous jumper footage aired on the Spanish network Univision (commonly misattributed to Telemundo), although they still acknowledged that the lost video could indeed be real. Initially, I dismissed this message as a complete lie, as this was not long after the DVDripper hoax and other fabricated claims. Furthermore, they stopped answering my messages after a while and fell for the recreational video made by u//KekStrong. However, the recent findings confirm that this user was indeed the original anonymous user.
Again, I do not want to post identifying information publicly due to the risk of harassment. However, I can say that both the location and interests of these two users match up identically. The genuine 4chan anonymous user and the Reddit user who direct messaged me are from the same country and have the exact same interests. Furthermore, the name “superman tries to save the day” was brought up by both the alleged OOP and the 2018 comment that was not widely known or accessible up to this point. Not only does this confirm that the two users are indeed the same person, but it also puts forth some shocking implications. For reference, here is the message from the now-confirmed OOP:

I’m the guy who made the original lolsuperman 4chan posts way back in the day. I never anticipated any of this, obviously. I hastily made the post under the assumption that I just sucked at finding things, and was under the erroneous assumption that the content I was describing was something freely available, hence the lack of descriptiveness. If you choose to believe me, i’ll gladly answer any questions you have. I also thought i’d add some more information for clarity.
The way I worded it was really bad. I said the videos were titled “something along the lines of lol superman & man turns to jam”. It’s been established but those aren’t what the videos were called, those were approximations. Paraphrasing. What I do know, 100%, is that one of the videos was definitely mocking a jumper by comparing him to a failed superman, which was reflected in the title. Time has made the rest murky, unfortunately. Considering the era, it was probably closer to “superman fail” or “superman tries to save the day”.
What interested me was the recent post about the “splat” video. I’m almost certain that’s ‘man turns to jam’. It’s also worth noting that this specific channel had additional edge-lord 9/11 content, like 7 videos at least. He kept getting banned and appearing under new monikers.
For what it’s worth, i’m personally 50/50 on whether I am misremembering. There’s a widely accessible Telemundo clip zoomed in rather closely on a jumper who disappears behind an object before impact. That could be it. Not sure. It’s been so long, there are only very few vague details that i know are 100% true, not gonna speculate on anything i’m not certain of. I wish i could remember specific details but I can’t. Apologies.
Now that we know this is a confirmed statement from the OOP, there are a quite a few details that have either a) not been widely considered, or b) left in doubt up to this point.
- There were indeed multiple 9/11 videos. The modern idea of LSM has always focused on one video with a title containing “SUPERMAN,” although this statement suggests that this is not the case. The OOP states that there were at least seven, with only one mentioning Superman. The only other confirmed title mentioned by the OOP is “man turns into jam.”
- The “Brazil theory” is substantially more unlikely. The OOP has confirmed that the entire premise of the troll-ish channel was up-close 9/11 jumper media, meanwhile the 19HEATHER91 channel only hosted one video attributed to the attacks. Furthermore, this statement confirms that the 2016 “man turns into jam” testimony was indeed posted by the original 4chan anonymous user, which is a title that cannot describe the 1986 Andorihna building fire footage, as it does not contain any bloody or gory scenes whatsoever.
- “LOL SUPERMAN” definitely referred to a title, not a comment. Under the recent LSM video by blameitonjorge, there were quite a few users pointing out how the OOP actually claimed that one of the comments mentioned Superman, rather than the video title itself. This statement confirms this is not the case. The OOP has confirmed that at least one title mentioned Superman, so we can rule that theory out.
- The video was almost certainly not called “LOL SUPERMAN.” The OOP has confirmed that they have no idea what exactly the lost video was called; they only recall that one title mentioned Superman. Some other examples they mentioned include “superman flies lmao,” “superman tries to save the day,” “superman rare sighting,” etc. It has been definitively proven that the infamous title was just a suggestion rather than an exact video identifier.
This is possibly one of the best outcomes we could have had from contact with the OOP. As I mentioned, I will not be providing any identifying information for this user. If you have any questions, then please void them through me, and I will message the OOP when my Reddit account is unbanned.
