All Known Camera, Picture & Audio Locations

Hey everyone,

I recently stumbled across a goldmine of a resource while digging through some old 9/11 archives — specifically from a now-archived site called 11-septembre.com. It’s a Google Earth file (.kmz) that maps out all currently known camera, photo, and audio recording locations related to the attacks on September 11, 2001.
Every single marker (“blip”) on the map represents a known eyewitness perspective — people filming, photographing, or recording audio as the event unfolded. The detail in this thing is seriously impressive.

Each blip includes:

  • Photos, videos, or audio clips tied to that location

  • Metadata: author (if known), timestamp, media format, and context

  • Accurate positioning based on where the footage was captured from

I didn’t make this file, but I think it’s worth preserving and sharing. It’s an incredible reference for anyone studying witness footage, collapse angles, sound anomalies, or just trying to understand the documented chaos of that morning.

If you have anything to add — media that’s not marked, or corrections to any of the existing points — drop it in the comments. I’m happy to help update and preserve this file for the community.

Big thanks to whoever originally put this together on 11-septembre.com — your work lives on.
